Go DOWN! Get WET! Come DIVE!

We're closing the store (just for the day) so we can dive with YOU! AND… we'll be doing it every month!

We enjoy visiting with all of you in the store, so… why aren't we all diving together?

Let's be dive buddies!

The "EXPLORER" departs at 8am for 3 dives at Anacapa or Santa Cruz Island. Breakfast, lunch, airfills, snacks and beverages are ALL included for only $95. You'll be back to the dock around 5:00pm.

It's a one-day, mini-vacation to explore our aquatic backyard!

Some months, we'll have "guest" divemasters or plan special underwater activities. But mostly, it's a day for all of us to go diving and have FUN together! We can't wait to go diving with you!

Just wanted to report on our first "GO DOWN. GET WET. COME DIVE ADVENTURE!"

That's exactly what we did with our customers on the dive boat EXPLORER.

Captain Tony started the engines, and we were off to our first dive location at Anacapa Island - "The Landing."

ALL I CAN SAY IS I N C R E D I B L E!

Gliding through the kelp beds was like having one of those flying dreams, only through a magnificent forest! A hornshark hid in the rocks while sea lions frolicked with each other above. Ferocious garibaldi charged many divers, in the hopes of protecting their eggs. Spanish shawls waved their fancy backs at us as brittle stars maneuvered around a giant abalone (YES, IT'S TRUE!). An angel shark lay still, only partially buried, under the boat. And these are only a few of the critters we saw! I haven't even mentioned the lobsters, crabs and other fish we encountered.

And if you haven't had food on the dive boat EXPLORER, what a chef!  Make-to-order menu with items such breakfast burritos, bacon & eggs and egg sandwiches for breakfast; Garden burgers, hamburgers, grilled chicken breast served with potato salad, coleslaw, crab salad or chips for lunch.  And if that's not enough, there are always snacks waiting for you as you surface from the water for that needed interval - chips & salsa, vegetable platters, water and beverages, cookies, cake and ice cream.

The end of the day came too soon, but was perfected by the presence of a pod of dolphins.  We all jumped to the sides of the boat to glimpse the playful mammals.
